Week in review
I can hardly believe it 's May already. Classes are ending and my friends who are graduating are starting to leave Athens. Everybody's excited about graduation and busy making plans.
One great thing about May is that the Farmer's Market opens back up. I am looking forward to having another way to purchase fresh produce. Tomorrow is the first day so we'll have to be early. I expect everyone to be sold out by 10 am.
Decided to work on my Etsy store this spring. I want to have some fun making magnets and working with upcycled, recycled items. Here's a pair of earrings I posted tonight. I have always been a baseball fan so spring and summer means watching the Diamond Dogs (UGA) and the Atlanta Braves. These would be fun to wear to the games.

Hi Ember! I am sorry to contact you in this fashion, but you do not list an email address. I saw that you signed up as a follower on my blog, Living a Dream. Did you really mean to do that? If yes, welcome! How did you find it, and why do you read it? I am just puzzled.
Hey Anneke,
Yes, I absolutely meant to follow your blog. I hope that's okay. I found your site by just surfing blogs on Blogger and I was fascinated about your strawbale house. Your pictures are great and I think the whole process is very interesting. You are actually living a fantasy that many of us have and I am a bit jealous. I am really looking forward to seeing how your house develops.
Well, how fun! I am glad that you are enjoying this building process. It is the house of friends of ours that we are helping with, but we'll be on the project for most of it (certainly all the heavy lifting :-)). We live next door (in a conventionally built house). Dave and Barbara have built an adobe cabin on their property, as well as a smaller strawbale building (See May 29 blog), so they have some experience. It is fun doing helping out with this and makes it easier for them as well as it is rather physical work. Stay tuned!
